Anything like a date tag in the grouping with the size?
Im gonna guess that this hat is from 2011-2017 era.

Have you ever seen a Roman numeral tag that is higher than MMX?
From what I have been able to gather, the dated tags seem to begin in 2011 and go, month by month, until at least 2017. (Do not think I’ve seen a 2018 dated tag yet)
Alex Tilley sold the business to a Canadian holding company in 2017, followed by a second sale in 2018.
Wouldn't surprise me if the disappearance of the dated hat tags coincided with the transfer of production to China.

Here’s an MMX from one of my TW2’s. Oddly enough, this one has a tag that reads “1190” which makes me wonder about the “dates” on tags. To add more data, I think the owners manual that came with this hat was dated 2011. (And now I am wondering… does that tag read “1190” or “0611”! I will check tomorrow) Attachments:
