The Tilley T1 is, indeed, iconic. First introduced for commercial sale in 1980 (let’s say) and in production continuously ever since. That’s 45 years (give or take). Never my favorite model Tilley, I do have an undersized T1 that is Sun bleached nearly white as it used to be my trail biking hat (less wind resistance) that I wear regularly. My wife likes me to wear this one to night time events such as concerts because she says it makes me easier to spot in a crowd. Lol All hail the original Tilley hat.

I have a new black Bucket hat (same as the one in this video) that I picket up at the Thrift Store for 10 bucks if I remember correctly.
I need to wear it more.

Not sure I’ve ever examined one of the new Tilley “bucket” hats. They look fairly different from the T1, no?
